Job Summary
The Process Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment within the Production Department to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production lines during startup and shutdown to meet company objectives and production targets
- Monitor and control process parameters, including flow rates, pressure, temperature, and levels, using control systems and trend data
- Communicate effectively with field operators to coordinate process adjustments
- Immediately report process abnormalities or deviations to the Shift Production Supervisor
- Perform minor equipment and process adjustments as needed; escalate significant issues and implement approved corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and emergency response protocols
- Monitor and optimize the use of raw materials, chemicals, and utilities in a safe and efficient manner
- Prepare and assist with operational reports as requested by the Production Supervisor
- Support safe shutdown, isolation, and emergency procedures when required
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and identifying corrective actions
- Identify equipment or process faults and coordinate with appropriate departments for resolution
- Participate in training initiatives, onboarding of new employees, and continuous improvement efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in manufacturing, industrial operations, or a related field is beneficial
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or plant environment is preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and operate industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to monitor processes and identify abnormalities
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in ongoing training and development
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and climbing stairs as needed

Schedule
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts; rotating schedule of Seven (7) days on/Seven (7) days off
- Four (4) positions available for day shift. Eight (8) positions available for night shift. Night shift does receive a $2/hour shift differential
