Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Laboratory Technician to support laboratory testing and quality control activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing analytical testing and inspections on secondary battery conductive slurry, raw materials, and in-process production materials to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
The Production Laboratory Technician will support production operations by providing accurate test data, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting with quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment while following laboratory procedures and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and quality control inspections on secondary battery conductive slurry and related production materials.
- Conduct testing of incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record, analyze, and report laboratory test results and production quality data accurately.
- Verify materials meet production specifications and internal quality standards.
- Maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory equipment and testing instruments to ensure reliable results.
- Support production operations by providing timely laboratory analysis and quality feedback.
- Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and laboratory methods.
- Investigate non-conforming materials and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain compliance with laboratory safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Ensure the laboratory workspace remains clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Support supplier material evaluation and incoming material inspections as needed.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a laboratory, production, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of laboratory testing, quality inspection, and measurement techniques.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and testing protocols.
- Strong data recording and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Technology, or related technical field.
- Experience working with battery materials, conductive slurry, or chemical production processes.
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Experience supporting quality audits, laboratory documentation, or process improvement initiatives.
Schedule
- Twelve (12) hour shifts; rotating schedule of 3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off
- One (1) day shift position available and Three (3) night shift positions (Night Shift gets a shift differential of $2/hour)
